World Press Photo

Design and implementation of an interactive kiosk for the 2008 and 2009 exhibitions.

Perceptor for World Press Photo www.worldpressphoto.org

For over 50 years, World Press Photo has been internationally recognised as the leading and most prestigious annual press photography contest. Every year, their winning photograph is on the cover of national newspapers worldwide, and the exhibition visits over 100 locations in 50 countries.

Since 2008, Perceptor has been working with World Press Photo to support their global photography exhibitions with an immersive kiosk. This interactive component allows visitors to deepen their understanding of the photographs on display, and put them in context. All winning photos and series are presented on screen, supported by captions photographer biographies and video interviews. Additional context is provided by the ability to view all previous World Press Photo winners.
